Day 1: Day 1 Casablanca to Fez

Day 3: Day 3 Merzouga to Ouarzazate

We will wake you up early to experience the trekking of camels in the desert enjoying the golden sand dunes, riding our camels towards Erg Chebbi, where the incredible sunrise takes place. Then, we will return with our camels to Merzouga, have breakfast and take a hot shower before going to Ouarzazate. We started our fabulous trip to Ouarzazate and then stop at Tinghir; It has a very beautiful oasis, and palm trees stretched. We will also let you discover the Kasbah. Then, we will continue towards Boumalne Dades, with its panoramic views. Finally, we will make a night arrival to Ouarzazate, where we will spend the night in a Hotel or Riad.

Day 4: Day 4 Ouarzazate to Marrakech

Day 4: Fez - Ifrane Azrou - Midelt - Errachidia - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga

After breakfast, departure to Midelt through the mountains and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. Pass by Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou, an important craft center specializing in cedar wood work. After the Zad Pass (2178m / 7146ft), we will arrive at Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, we will descend towards Erfoud and Errachidia through the Ziz Valley, dotted with palm trees. We continue towards the sand dunes of the Erg Chebbi. In the afternoon we will leave the 4 × 4 and climb the camels to cross the great dunes of the desert for about two hours. Day 5: Merzouga - Khamlia - Rissani - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate

In the morning we will return in camel to the hotel for breakfast. Visit Khamlia, an original Malian village to relax with a tea while enjoying a small gnawa music concert. Day 6: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

The 200 km separating Ouarzazate from Marrakech runs through the High Atlas. Day 4: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Moulay Idriss - Fez

After a rich breakfast in the Riad, we begin our guided tour through the new part of the city of Fez, where we approach the royal palace, Jewish quarter (Mellah), then we will go to a viewpoint where we can observe all the medina from the South Tower and the numerous Mosques. Then we will walk through the medina, declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. Day 6: Fez - Ifrane - Cedros Forest - Midélt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert

Breakfast and heading south to cross the Middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane, also called “the little Moroccan Switzerland” because of its great resemblance to that country. One of the animals that once inhabited here was the Atlas lion, which is why it has become the symbol of the city and to which a stone statue has been dedicated in the center of it. We will take the opportunity to stop and take some photos. We will cross the famous forests of cedars, we will be able to admire the Great Cedar Gouraud, the largest millenary cedar of the region and also to feed the hundreds of monkeys of Gibraltar that live in the area. Lunch at Midélt and from here the land becomes arid and full of spectacular geological formations and deep green valleys, such as the Ziz Valley. We will begin to see the typical architecture of adobe, palm trees, some distant Kasbahs … we are at the doors of the desert. After Erfoud we arrive at the impressive Merzouga Dunes and after the Hospitality Tea, we will leave the suitcases in the rooms and go up to the first dunes that are next to the hotel to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Day 7: Merzouga - Nomadic Families - Riding on camels and night in Haimas Nómadas

We are already in the desert and today will be a day of Total Desert. After a rich breakfast, we will go around the Erg Chebbi, an expanse of sand desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located, of more than 250 meters of altitude, we will connect with the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar and with the mountains that border Algeria in the background. Stop in the oasis of Tissardmin where we can find fossil quarries that are still in this region and we will continue route to a nomadic settlement where we will know some of the secrets of their life and customs. Later stop at a panoramic point where we can contemplate the Erg Chebbi as a whole. We will arrive at the village of Khamlia, originally from Mali, where we will relax with a tea while we enjoy a small concert of spiritual music from Gnawa. Return to the hotel to leave in a caravan of camels to enter the heart of the dunes and contemplate an unforgettable sunset. We will arrive with the dromedaries to the camp where we will stay in Haimas “Shops made with dromedary hair” like those used by the nomads of the desert. Day 9: Marrakech – Casablanca

While in the desert it is recommended to get up early to walk to the highest dune that is around to enjoy the sunrise and this relaxing landscape that nature offers, we will return in camels to the village of Merzouga. After a delicious breakfast, we have to say goodbye to the desert and go to Rissani where we will visit its market (if we are lucky and it is one of the market days: Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday) we will follow the road to Erfoud where there is also the possibility of visiting the Fossilized marble factory before continuing to the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. 1 hour later we will arrive at one of the strongest points of the High Atlas: The Todra Gorges. The channel of the Todra River has formed a defile of vertical walls of enormous proportions and of great beauty; It is a paradise for climbers and a unique place. Lunch at the site and a half hour walk would be advisable to see and enjoy the Gorges with detail. In the afternoon we will continue to the Dadès Valley, also known for the Valley of Figs, passing by Boumalne Dadés we will stop at the “monkey fingers”. Dinner and night in the Gorges of Dades.

Day 9: Vallé del Dades - Vallé de Rosas - Boutagrar - Palm Grove of Skoura - Ouarzazate

Day 4: Fez – Midelt – Erfoud – Dunes De Merzouga

We will pass through Ifran, a Moroccan city in the Swiss style, and Azrou, a typical Berber Zayan village in the Middle Atlas. Day 5: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

Day 6: Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Ouarzazate

We woke up early to go see the spectacular sunrise on camelback, then return to the hotel to freshen up and have breakfast. We left for Rissani and Tafilalet (origin of the Alaouí dynasty), cities located along the road that leads to the monumental Todra Gorges, overlooking the valley from the hill. We advance in the deep Valley of the Roses, famous for the cultivation of these flowers. We admire the mountains and their colors, the palm groves, the sweet corn fields and the fig trees, as well as the ruins of numerous kasbahs that form part of the itinerary called the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs. We arrived in Ouarzazate at the end of the afternoon and stayed in a riad.

 

Day 7: Ouarzazate - High Atlas - Marrakech

From Ouarzazate we will go to the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, Mother of all the Kasbahs, a beautiful Berber architectural structure from about 800 years ago. From the hill where the settlement is located, you can see the old caravan routes that traveled to Marrakech and the distant veins of the High Atlas mountains. Visit the ruins that reveal the ancient culture of the inhabitants of this kasbah. We will continue along a dirt road rising for more than 8 km until we return to the main road that leads to Marrakech. We will pass through the Valley of the Almond Trees, the Berber Shluh of Amerzgan, Agouim and Ighrem and we will reach the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2260 m s.n.m.). Lunch in the Berber village of Tadart, then we will continue to Marrakech where we will arrive at the end of the afternoon.
