The Zagora Desert is the one we find closest to Marrakech, located about 350 km away, recommended for those who do not want to miss the experience of a dromedary ride and sleep in the haimas camp.

Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait ben Hadou - Ouarzazate - Anti Atlas - Daa Valley - Zagora Desert

Departure from your hotel in Marrakech at 7:30 AM, to the High Atlas mountains passing through Berber villages, we cross the mountains through the Tichka port with 2260 m, we follow the path of the South towards the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou , Visit to the kasbah with lunch included. Then we continue towards Zagora through the Anti Atlas, the Draa Valley – the largest palm grove in Morocco – reaching the outskirts of Zagora. Change of car to dromedary / camel 1 hour to reach the small dunes of the Zagora desert, it is time to admire the sunset, dine and spend the night under the nomad tent.

Day 2: Zagora - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate - Tizi-N-Ticha - Marrakech

This morning is early to attend the sunrise, shower and breakfast. We left from the camp back to Marrakech. We go to Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley and Agdez (lunch along the way). In the afternoon we arrive in Marrakech, transfer to the hotel and end of the tour.

Waking up to see the sunrise between the dunes is the strong point of the trip.

Day 1: From Marrakech to the Gorges of Dades

We will cross the Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass, at 2260 meters high, surrounded by breathtaking views of the mountains and Berber villages scattered along the road. We will stop for lunch in the Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, a World Heritage Site, and we will take the opportunity to visit this site where more than 20 famous films have been filmed. We will leave behind Ouarzazate passing through the valleys of Roses and Dades, the oasis of Skoura where you can see its kasbah of the seventeenth century and the Valley of the Thousand Kasbahs to the Gorges of Dades. Night at the hotel.

Day 2: From the Gorges of Dades to Merzouga

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Gorges of Todra: colossal faults that rise 300 meters over a narrow valley full of palm trees and Berber villages. After lunch in the Gorges we go into the desert, on the way to Merzouga with a stop in the dunes of Erg Cherbbi to enjoy a pleasant camel ride to the jaima camp. (There are bathrooms available).

Day 3: Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Azrou - Fez

Around 5.30 in the morning, we will get up to enjoy and admire the beautiful sunrise that the desert offers us and take pictures from a large dune, one of the best moments in the desert of Merzouga. After a typical breakfast in our bivouac, we will return in dromedaries to the lodge to shower and then we will take the road to Fes passing through the beautiful valley of Ziz, Errachidia, Midelt until the cedar forest where we will stop to visit the famous cedar of « Gouraud ». We will continue our journey through the middle Atlas to reach Fes in the afternoon, the intellectual and historical capital of Morocco, divided into 3 parts: Fes el bali (the old town), the new part built during the French protectorate and the Jewish quarter. Fes has a beautiful medina with its doors and its impressive walls, palaces … etc. End of the route.

Day 2: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate

Breakfast at the riad and early departure to the Atlas Mountains, going up a winding road dotted with villages of traditional stone architecture. From the Tizi n Tichka (2260 m.), To follow the road to Telouet, a scattered town in which the impressive Kasbah Glaoui, an adobe palace in which the audience hall stands out, is surprising. Leaving Telouet, we take the road that leads to the valley of Assif Ounila, a green cordon surrounded by adobe-style villages where the four-tower Kasbahs stand out. Visit to the most famous of the Ksour of the valley, Ait Benhadou, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. We continue towards Ouarzazate where we will visit the Kasbah Taourirt. Free lunch, dinner and accommodation in the Riad.

Day 3: Ouarzazate - Vallé del Draa - Alnif - The dunes of Merzouga

Breakfast at the riad and departure towards the Draa Valley, one of the most extensive palm groves in Morocco, orchard that accompanies the river for more than 100 km. Visit to the Ksar of Tamnougalt located on the banks of the Draa. Continuing along the road that runs south of the Jbel Sarho in the direction of Rissani, city where you can visit one of their many houses (Ksour). Arrival in Merzouga before sunset, with time to enjoy the sunset. Dinner and accommodation at Hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga - Khamlia - Visit to the Nomads- Merzouga

Breakfast at Kasbah Azalay and route with the 4 × 4 vehicle around the dunes, visiting the village of Khamlia, where you will enjoy the traditional gnawa music, the Mfis mines, the abandoned village of Merdani, the immense hamada, the nomadic khaimas, the small palm groves like that of Hasi Labiad … In the afternoon departure with the dromedaries towards Khaimas camp in the dunes, you will enjoy the sunset on the way. Dinner and overnight at Khaymas camp.

Day 5: Merzouga - Gorges of Todra - Dades Valley

Return to Kasbah Azalay after sunrise. Breakfast and shower at the hotel. Exit towards the Dades valley. On the way you will visit Jorhe’s Khetaras, the palm grove and the Todra Gorge in Tinerhir and finally in the valley of the Dades River stopping at your points of interest, the “Monkey Fingers”, the Kasbahs, the Dades Gorge, the Viewpoint of the curves … Dinner and accommodation in traditional hostel or riad.

Day 6: Dades Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Departure after breakfast in the direction of Marrakech, visiting the Kasbah of Amerhidil in Skoura and the film studios where famous films like Gladiator, The Mummy or Asterix and Cleopatra have been recorded. We will continue to the Tizi n Tichka to reach Marrakech before sunset. Lunch and dinner free. Accommodation in riad.
