Day 3: Free day in Fez
Free day in FEZ. When penetrating the streets of your medina (old city) we will feel that time recedes: the union structure is still present in the work, the narrowness of its streets does not allow other means of transport than donkeys and a constant tingling of people moves through the labyrinthine streets in the midst of which neighborhoods like the one of the Andalusians and magnificent mosques and Koranic schools will surprise us. Fez has always been associated with study and religiosity, and remains the spiritual capital of Morocco. After visiting the medina another option is to walk aimlessly through the streets of Fez-Jdid, where the royal palace, the mellah (Jewish quarter) and the oldest mosque in Fez are located. Dinner and accommodation at selected hotel.

Pass by Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou, an important craft center specializing in cedar wood work. After the Zad Pass (2178m / 7146ft), we will arrive at Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, we will descend towards Erfoud and Errachidia through the Ziz Valley, dotted with palm trees. We continue towards the sand dunes of the Erg Chebbi. In the afternoon we will leave the 4 × 4 and climb the camels to cross the great dunes of the desert for about two hours. In the morning we will return in camel to the hotel for breakfast. Visit Khamlia, an original Malian village to relax with a tea while enjoying a small gnawa music concert. We will then make a small tour through the dunes of the Erg Chebbi in 4 × 4, extension of sand desert where the Great Dune of Morocco, of more than 250 meters of altitude, connecting by track with part of the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar and with the mountains that border with Algeria in the background. we will make a stop at a panoramic point to contemplate the Erg Chebbi as a whole. We will go to Rissani, the first imperial city, with its interesting market, where the nomads of the surrounding area come to sell their livestock and buy the belongings they need. There we can taste the tasty Berber pizza (only cooked here) and we will continue our way to Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley, one of the longest rivers in Morocco. Stops to contemplate the charming adobe kasbahs and Berber villages that dot the route and the interesting geological formations of the Draa Valley. Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 6: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
Breakfast and visit to the famous Ait Ben Haddou (Cultural Heritage of Humanity). The trip is a succession of strong points. Today’s day is another one of them. The 200 km separating Ouarzazate from Marrakech runs through the High Atlas. The road must be traveled slowly, for its beauty and because it is a mountain pass that crosses the Atlas at almost 2,300 m. To round off the spectacular day, we will follow the old caravan route that linked the two cities through the Ounila Valley, where kasbahs are built in caves and will also take us to Telouet. And we continue towards the red city of Marrakech. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
