Ouarzazate
In the south, beyond these impressive mountains, covered with snow from November to April, emerges a different semi-desert landscape, dotted along the river on the way to Ouarzazate, by kasbahs and small mud and straw houses that clearly contrast with the emerald green fields around it. The visit to Ouarzazate, a modern military city, built by the French on the edge of the Sahara, includes the former residence of Pacha El Glaui, the kasbah of Taourirt and Ait Benhadu, a former picturesque mountain village famous among film directors, and the Atlas studios, which make it one of the most interesting visits.
