Day 1: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

We’ll begin our journey with a scenic drive through the stunning Rif Mountains, passing by the charming city of Tetouan. To fully appreciate the breathtaking landscape, we’ll take a break at the base of the Rif Mountains in Chefchaouen. Known for its vibrant blue hues and unique medina, Chefchaouen showcases a blend of Spanish architectural influences from its time as part of “Spanish Morocco.” The lively square is filled with colorful artisanal shops, and you’ll find plenty of rooftop restaurants and cafes, including those in the Riads. Here, you can unwind for the evening, enjoying a refreshing breeze and spectacular views.

 

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we’ll set off towards Volubilis, passing through Ouazan and several charming Rif villages. In Volubilis, we’ll delve into the fascinating Roman ruins and uncover Morocco’s rich history. Our journey continues to Meknes, where we’ll pause for lunch and explore the historical medina walls, including the impressive Bab el Mansour. We’ll also visit the shrine of Moulay Ismail. Later in the afternoon, we’ll make our way to Fes, where we’ll spend the night.

 

Day 3: Exploring Fes

We’ll kick off the day by exploring the oldest city in Morocco, meandering through its winding alleys and narrow streets. Our sightseeing begins at the impressive gate of the Royal Palace, followed by a visit to the Jewish Quarter, home to the first Mellah built in Morocco in the 16th century. We’ll make sure you see all the culturally and historically significant sites, including the renowned Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region. Additionally, we’ll explore the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. After lunch, you’ll visit various cooperatives and enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes.

 

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

Our day begins with a drive towards the Atlas Mountains, stopping to explore the charming village of Ifrane. Here, we’ll have the opportunity to wander through the famous cedar forest, which is home to the playful Berber apes. Afterward, we’ll continue our journey through the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and the stunning Ziz Gorge, where we can pause for photos and enjoy some local mint tea. We’ll then make our way to Midelt before heading to Merzouga, where we’ll arrive at our campsite for an overnight stay.

 

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge

We’ll start the day by heading to a local hotel, where you’ll have the opportunity to freshen up and enjoy a complimentary breakfast before we continue our journey to Ouarzazate. Along the way, we’ll visit Berber villages that are home to the stunning Todra and Dades Gorges. At the Dades Gorge, we’ll stop at a local hotel, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 6: Dades valley – Rose valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakesh

After breakfast, we’ll continue our tour towards Ouarzazate, following the route known as the Thousand Kasbahs. We’ll make a stop at Kalaat Mgouna, the heart of the Valley of Roses, renowned for its annual Rose Festival. From there, we’ll drive through Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can admire its stunning architecture and rich history.

Day 7: Marrakesh Sightseeing
