Day 1: Marrakesh – Tizi-n-Tichka pass – Ouarzazatte – Dades Gorge
Your private tour begins with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains as we navigate the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to reach the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, renowned for its appearances in films like *Gladiator* and the HBO series *Game of Thrones*.
Next, we will continue to Ouarzazate, where we’ll visit the Atlas Film Studios and explore a Kasbah in the city. Afterward, we’ll head towards the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual Festival of Roses. Finally, we will drive to Dades Gorges, where we will spend the night in a hotel, complete with complimentary dinner and breakfast.
Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Rissani – Merzouga desert
Continuing our tour in a 4×4, we will visit Todra Gorge, a vibrant narrow canyon that is a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts. Afterward, we’ll drive through the scenic Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud, an oasis town known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert and famous for its unique fossils. Here, we can visit a local factory that produces artisan crafts and home decor made from fossils, as well as a shop where you can purchase these items as souvenirs.
From Erfoud, we’ll continue to Rissani, where we’ll explore the local souk. After our visit, we’ll drive towards the desert to reach Merzouga. Upon arriving at a checkpoint, we’ll leave our vehicle and embark on a camel ride into the stunning dunes, guided by experienced locals. We will arrive at the Merzouga Desert Camp, where we’ll spend the night in Berber tents. This unforgettable evening will feature a traditional starlit Berber dinner, complemented by tribal music around a desert campfire.
Day 3: Merzouga desert
This day will be dedicated to exploring the Merzouga desert. You’ll have the opportunity to choose your activities, whether you prefer camel trekking or discovering the landscape in the comfort of a 4×4. We will also visit Khamlia village, known for its traditional music.
As the day draws to a close, we’ll take the time to appreciate the stunning sunset behind the dunes of the mesmerizing Sahara Desert. Our night will be enhanced by local music and traditional Berber food enjoyed around a campfire, creating an unforgettable desert experience.
Day 4: Merzouga – Midelt – Fes
Day 5: Fes – Casablanca
We’ll begin the day by exploring Fes, the oldest city in Morocco, as we navigate its winding alleys and narrow streets. Fes is comprised of three distinct parts: Fes el Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the oldest and features over 9,000 narrow streets and alleys enclosed by a large fortified wall. Fes-Jdid, or “New Fez,” is home to the Jewish Quarter, while the “Ville Nouvelle” represents the newest sector of Fes, developed during the French occupation.
During our exploration, we will visit the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, we’ll stop by several cooperatives to learn about local crafts. Before we leave, you’ll enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes.
Later in the day, we’ll drive to Rabat and then onward to Casablanca, where we’ll spend the night.
Day 6: Casablanca – Marrakech
Today, we will visit the main attractions and monuments of Casablanca, including the impressive Hassan II Mosque. After exploring the highlights of the city, we’ll conclude our tour as we head back to Marrakech.
